About Martha’s Custom Heirlooms

Martha’s Custom Heirlooms was founded by Martha Hann.

Martha’s Custom Heirlooms was founded by Martha Hann. Martha began sewing in the 8th grade and has over 46 years of sewing experience. Martha lives in Gause, Texas with her husband, Dr. Roy Hann, Jr., a retired professor of civil and environmental engineering. They have five grown children, all of whom are married. They also take pride in their four grandchildren. They raise registered Charolais cattle at their Spring Valley Ranches.

“Martha is also a licensed physical therapist who enjoys gardening.”

LONGARM QUILTING SERVICES
Martha uses an Innova machine with computer quilting to your choice of design and thread choice. Pricing is determined by the size of the quilt in square inches multiplied by $.02 -.05 cents or square inch, depending on the complexity of the pattern. Quilts can be basted for hand quilters at the cost of $30 per top. Binding is priced at $.35 per inch of binding attached.

QUILT TOP PREPARATION
For best results, make sure the quilt is clean and free of pet hairs. Seams should be pressed flat and all threads clipped. Square up and trim the quilt to final size, so it measures the same size in three places. Measure the backing fabric so it is four inches larger than the quilt top on all four sides.

SHIPPING INFORMATION
UPS or USPS with insurance, depending on your location to be determined. An estimate will be given.
